… is a documentary that enumerates the advantages of a purely plant-based way of eating as far as the environment, climate, health, human rights and the protection of animals are concerned, a topic that is relevant to all of us.

A purely plant-based way of eating is called “vegan” – a word that now provokes a wide range of different reactions. 

There are those who can no longer stand hearing about it and who are fed up by the hype about it and there are those to whom it means a basic attitude of life whereas others simply want to try it out as it is trendy at the moment. In this respect many dilettantes pretend to be experts. 

At second sight, however, there is far more behind it than just the love of animals of some eco freaks. Even though it may sound unbelievable at first, a vegan way of life offers the possibility of solving the biggest problems of the 21st century or at least of considerably diminishing them. Already 100 years ago, Albert Einstein had realized the urgency of this question.

And at a point where the governments and politics fail to achieve their aims, private initiative is in demand.

Our typical western diet, which consists of animal products for nearly 50 %, largely effects our climate, nature, health and world hunger. Not to speak of the billions of creatures populating the land or the sea that are needlessly killed year by year.
